Hints
Hint #1 Each pony has a path they prefer to trot on. Can you figure out Hops' favorite path? Any way to connect that to her name?
Hint #2 Each path is based on the pony's winter wear (blanket, leg warmers, scarf, hat). When a pony walks between to pallets, the items on both sides relate to a letter in their name.
Hint #3 Each pony has a 4-letter name. Index each letter to its position in the alphabet (H=8) and reverse engineer the numerical value of pumpkins, turkeys, haybales and apple baskets.
Hint #4 The ponies pass 4 banners, corresponding to their blanket, leg warmers, scarf and hat. The color (and pattern) of their clothing indicates which path the pony takes where. For example: Hops has a red blanket, so when passing the ‘blanket’ banner, she chooses the path with the red carpet, passing two apple baskets two her left, and two pumpkins to her right. The total of these 4 items relates to the first letter of her name: H, the 8th letter. She then chooses the cyan carpet when passing the ‘leg warmer’ banner, etc.
Hint #5 Using Hops’ name, you can discover the numerical value of the different items on the pallets. H is the 8th letter, so 2 apple baskets and 2 pumpkins add to 8. O is the 15th letter, so two hay bales, two pumpkins and an apple basket add to 15. Etc. Use this information to decode the other 3 names.
Hint #6 Pumpkin = 1, Apple basket = 3, Hay bale = 5 and Turkey = 11. The names of the other 3 ponies are STEW (top left), SPUD (top right) and BUZZ (bottom left). Use the shape of their nameplates and the numbers 1-4 to find the name of the ride.
